Thematic map

A thematic map is used to show the different types of soil mositure across the United States. Thematic maps are used to show different data across a geographical area, large or small. Thematic maps differ from other maps because they only take into account basic data, like coastlines, boundaries and places. They stay detailed in the data that is presented but are not focused on other outlying data like landforms, and transportation.
